Santorini also known as Thira, is an island in the southern Aegean Sea, about 200 km (120 mi) southeast from Greece's mainland. Although there are many places in Greece that offer these views, none does it better than Santorini.

ܤ Picture 4: Santorini-Church ܤ

ܤ Picture 5: Santorini-Church ܤ

Santorini is one of the most beautiful places in the world. The small island is just like it looks in the magazines. White, stone buildings with the blue trims lining the harbor, four-foot-wide stone streets running in a dizzying maze densely packed buildings, it is just incredible. Everywhere you look, you are just left in awe.

At Santorini, you can visit the largest and by far the busiest town on the island- Fira. The center of Fira can be like a souk, filled with browsing cruise-ship crowds looking at menus and the goods in hundreds of tightly packed shops.

ܤ Picture 7: Red Beach ܤ

In Santorini, you can rent a bike to drive around, seeing the black sand beaches of Perissa on the west side, and cruising to the Red Beach (it was fairly red) on the south part of the island.

In the evening you can go to the north part of the island and saw one of the most beautiful sunsets. Surrounded by small islands and the Mediterranean Sea, it is all absolutely incredible.
